However, the Office of Fair Trading has recently announced an investigation into comparison websites to determine whether consumers are being misled. Following preliminary evidence from MPs and the Financial Services Authority, the OFT fears that customers could be being short-changed. Drivers without insurance cost us £500m
Latest estimates suggest that nearly 1.5 million motorists in the UK are driving without adequate insurance.
